INVESTMENT
GRADE - DAVIS G10+
Description: OUTSTANDING LARGE SONORA MORSE
KNIFE - This SUPER Morse Knife was just found on September 9th, 2019 in
Calloway County, Kentucky! We got word of it just before the Grand
Rivers Artifact Show in Western KY. It was found on a gravel bed
and an "in-situ" photo of it can be viewed in the "extra photos".
This blade had just recently washed out of a bank and has changed colors
slightly since it was found a few weeks ago. (see extra photos) It
is made of a High Grade piece of multi-colored Sonora Chert. It is
VERY THIN and has extremely good flaking for the type. It has a nice tip
and very nice symmetry. It measures a BIG 8 5/16 inches in length.
Tom and Josh Davis commented that it was one of the best if not THE best
of the type they had ever seen! A center piece in any frame and
truly an Investment Grade Artifact! It comes with a Davis COA
grading it a G10+ * After studying this piece and the
material and discussing it with a few friends for their input. I
believe this material to be Hopkinsville Chert.
