PICTURED IN OVERSTREET # 10
- Description: Needle Tipped Bakers Creek - Here is a "classic" example of a Woodland period Bakers Creek. It is made of greenish red Breathitt Chert and was found in Central Kentucky. It has a CLASSIC Bakers Creek form and a needle tip... not to mention being large for the type! This vein of Breathitt is one of the ones that I like in tools & points. I traded for this piece at the 2006 Ripley Show from the finder. This point, in my opinion would grade high for the type! This piece is pictured in Overstreet # 10, page 342. From my collection.
