- Description: Kentucky Exhausted Beamer salvaged into Chisel - This nice Bone Chisel or Gouge was made from a salvaged Beamer. Beamers were made from the leg bone of deer and elk and used to scrape hides over a smooth surface such as a log. Eventually they wore in to. This Beamer was found in Owsley County, Kentucky. - Description: Kentucky Bone Necklace - This
is a very nice Bone Necklace that is made of bird bone. The
individual segments range in length from approx 5/8 to 1 1/2 inches.
The total length of the necklace is approximately 28 inches. This
Fine Necklace was recovered in Estill County, Kentucky and is most
likely from the Fort Ancient Culture. This necklace is a Great
study of how the prehistorics made these necklaces. Several of the
bone segments have grooves cut with flint knives where they changed
their mind and cut somewhere else. (see photos) You will
also notice that the ends appear to be beveled. This is where the
beads were grooved with a flint knife and then snapped in two.
This Fine Bone Necklace comes with a Tom Davis COA. Ex- Monty &
